Dr Denim Jackets
Morten Graah and his two sons Johannes and Alexander have a long family history in the clothing; Morten’s father, Heinz, founded the ladies wear company Lecomte, which after a buyout is still a popular brand today. Johannes and Alexander’s other grandfather ran two fishing companies, combining these two influences in their upbringing they eventually produced their own brand with the rugged durability working closely with expert design and fashion sense.
In 1986 the Graah brothers made their first visit to a jeans factory and from this point denim was to make a massive impression on their lives. Throughout the following decade Morten Graah was immersed in the world of jeans, in 1995 he was running an agency for G-star clothing. While their father was studying the fashion world Johannes and Alexander studied Economics & Management at Oxford University to apply this knowledge to their planned business.

In July 2003 the Graah family started Dr Denim using their passion and knowledge of denim to make well constructed, practical, contemporary designs made to last both in construction and style. In such a small period of time Dr Denim has endeared itself to jeans aficionados all over Europe through its unique philosophy of understanding and sharing every last detail of its products, from the production to the wear and tear of the garments, Dr Denim really does share everything with their clientele.
The development process for a pair of Dr Denim jeans is meticulous. They first send a collection of preliminary sketches, fabrics, colours and washes to the factory. The factory then takes this information to produce a prototype design of jeans which they then send back to Dr Denim. The Graah family themselves then personally test these prototypes and note any necessary adjustments which are relayed to the factory and then implemented. Work then continues on the minute details to perfect the design before the jeans are finally approved and produced for their collection.
Giving themselves the tag of denim nerds is justified; but in addition to stylish jeans and chinos, Dr Denim also now has Jackets, T-shirts and shirts all created with the same painstaking attention to detail and strive for perfection. It’s an extensive volume on everything you could possibly imagine to do with jeans and the material denim. Two of the most popular lines within the brands range are Dr Denim Jeans and Dr Denim Chinos.
