As a direct response to a footwear market which was, at the time, over-loaded with hyped up limited edition sneakers and increasingly technical sports trainers Gareth Skewis founded Pointer Footwear. Since their inception in 2004, Pointer's aim has been to produce simple, well-designed shoes with a casual feel. Using quality materials and clean, simple lines each pair of Pointer shoes is produced for comfort and style.

Based in London, they are influenced by classic shoe designs from the 70's as well as taking inspiration from skateboarding, music, art and culture relative to their own individual experience. As you would expect from a company founded by long term friends, Pointer as a feel of a family run business. Pointer Footwear is Gareth Skewis; Holly White - Head of Design; art direction is by Mat Fowler and Hannah Draper of Playarea. Artists include Nik Taylor, Jethro Haynes, Marcus Oakley, French and Dan Edgar. Each member of this closely knit team puts forward their own individual creative ideas in relation to design, drawing upon their own influences to create a striking collaborative effort.
