About the Brand: Edwin first  the appeared to the world in 1947 as  a Japanese importer of workwear and denim produce called Tsunemi KK Company which soon later became Japan's leading importers of American denim. In 1961 Edwin started up producing their own (now famous) denim jeans. The name EDWIN, came from the letters of DENIM that had been re-arranged. The 'W' is the 'M' upside-down.  By 1963 Edwin, had produced the worlds heaviest denim jean, at (16-OZ).This Edwin Jeans denim was so incredibly thick that even after it had been washed it could still stand up by itself. Edwin is also known for it's 3-colour rainbow selvedge; a feature highly sought after by collectors and Edwin enthusiasts.
